Pregnancy Shoot with Carla

My latest pregnancy shoot with mum-to-be Carla took place between Christmas and New Year. We had been planning a pregnancy shoot sometime in January with the baby’s due date in February. The best laid plans and all that… I received a text one morning from Carla letting me know that her waters had broken and that she was at the hospital but still really wanted a shoot – was there anything to be done?! Carla’s contractions hadn’t started and so she was sent home to wait it out and I arrived an hour or so later to take some shots of the expectant parents. I have had to work quickly before due to tired children, hungry babies or impending rain but this certainly was a first and the pressure was well and truly on!

We finished the shoot just before Carla had to go back to hospital but baby Joshua Dominik decided to keep his parents waiting a little longer and arrived safely about 24 hours later… I am pleased to say that the Jung family are all doing well and enjoying their little newborn and I am looking forward to my next shoot with all three of them in the spring. I can’t wait to see if Joshua has inherited his parents’ laid-back attitude…
